Regarding the academic recognition of the Doctor of Medicine Degree <\/strong>to obtain the Spanish Doctor’s Degree credentials, this procedure is carried out before the Ministry of Education under the terms of Royal Decree 967\/2014, of 21 November, on the requirements and procedure for the recognition and resolution of equivalences. Procedures for the academic recognition of medical specialization degrees obtained in non-EU countries, on the other hand, are governed by Directive 2005\/36\/EC of 7 September.<\/p>\n

All the documents mentioned in points 1), 2) and 3) will be managed and legalized before the Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP), the Ministry of Justice (MINJUS) and by the Spanish Consulate in Havana or the country where it will enter into effect.<\/p>\n

  1. Doctor of Medicine Degree (the original must be officially legalized by MINSAP, MINJUS and Consulate of Spain or country where it will enter into effect)<\/li>\n
  2. Grade certificate of the 6-year degree (requesting and legalization by MINSAP, MINJUS and Consulate of Spain or country where it will enter into effect).<\/li>\n
  3. Certificate of Good Practice and work history stating you have not been disqualified from the exercise of your profession (requesting and legalization by MINSAP, MINJUS and Spanish Consulate).<\/li>\n
  4. Regarding the legalization procedure of the medical specialization degrees in any branch of medicine and in order not to have problems with the academic recognition applications, we inform you that all doctors from non-EU countries within the European Economic Community are subject to Directive 2005\/36\/EC, of 7 September (currently, they will only assess and submit applications once the Subdirecci\u00f3n General de Ordenaci\u00f3n Profesional assesses the documents provided by the applicant, who must provide the documentation in accordance with the accredited degree regulations required under Article 37.2 of RD 1837\/2008, of 8 November which transposes Directive 2005\/36\/EC of the European Parliament and of the council, of 7 September 2005, stating that the interested party must comply with the same training years required in the EU framework).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

This report is the guide used by the Examining Court of the Ministry of Health to issue the Medical Specialization credential in any of the specializations as long as the Ministry has received a positive report from ANECA to issue a positive outcome to a direct or conditioned credential, in the event that the requesting doctor has two specializations from outside the EU, the examination or validation of one of the two specialities must be requested. Our legal office offers a great experience in the procedures of academic recognitions and validations<\/strong>. We deliver a comprehensive report based on the two training programmes of both medical residencies, where the applicant must choose only one of the two specializations in order to obtain a positive recognition of the academic specialization.\u00a0In the event that the client chooses to request the full Legal Representation Services before the Ministry of Health from our office, the client will only have to provide the degrees of both specializations, committing ourselves to the client that his\/her file will be answered with a positive administrative resolution by the Spanish Ministry of Health (it is important that the client informs us of all his\/her master degrees, postgraduate degrees or diplomas). If you have a non-EU specialization, have applied directly and have more than 8 years of graduate experience, you must know that your records qualify. It is important to keep in mind that to apply for the academic recognition of medical specializations, the applicant must be a resident, with a residence and work permit, and must have an approved Doctor of Medicine Degree. The duration of this process cannot be specified.
